Newsletters, saved posts, bookmarks and articles, all mixed into one tidy document, sorted by the topics you care about, with repeats removed and the rest set aside.

The short answer. Yes, a pile of newsletters, saved posts and bookmarks can become one tidy document. Add them here, choose the topics you care about, and the page sorts them by topic, removes repeats and sets the rest aside. It never asks for your email login.

How it works, in four steps

  1. Paste or choosePaste or open your newsletters, saved posts, bookmarks and articles.
  2. The check runs on your own phone or computerWhat you add stays on your device, and the page keeps working with the internet off.
  3. Read what it found and what to do nextGet one tidy document sorted by your topics, with repeats removed.
  4. What this check cannot doIt sorts only what you paste or open here, and it keeps nothing once the page is closed, so save the document first.

It never asks for your email login. Reading apps that sort newsletters usually want access to your inbox. Sort My Saved-for-Later Reading only reads what you paste or open here, on this phone or computer, and nothing is saved when you close the page. Turn the internet off and it still works.

Questions people ask

Who made this?

UtilForge makes it. UtilForge is a website of free cybersecurity tools. The About page explains why the tools were made, and the Contact page is the way to reach us.

Is this a scam site?

You do not have to take our word for it, because you can check. This page does not ask for payment, a sign-in or card details. It is set so that your browser stops the page sending anything off your phone or computer, and you can test that: let the page finish loading, switch the internet off, then use it. It keeps working, because it has nowhere to send anything. If you are still unsure about any website, do not type anything private into it. UtilForge also sells optional packs of tools through Gumroad, and nothing on this page needs one.

What happens when I close the page?

What you pasted or opened is gone. It saves nothing in your browser and puts nothing in the web address of the page. If you chose to download the sorted document, that file stays in your downloads folder until you delete it.

Does it cost anything, and do I need to sign in?

It is free, and you can start straight away. UtilForge also sells optional packs of tools through Gumroad, and nothing on this page needs one.

How do I sort the newsletters and bookmarks I have saved into one place?

It mixes newsletters, saved posts, bookmarks and articles into one tidy document, sorted by the topics you care about, with repeats removed and the rest set aside. It also lists newsletters you could unsubscribe from.

Does it need my email login?

No. It only reads what you paste or open on your own phone or computer. It never asks for the password to an email account.

Which files can I open?

Saved emails (.eml), a mailbox export (.mbox), a bookmarks file exported from your browser (.html), and text or notes files (.txt, .md and .csv). You can also paste text, links or notes.

How do I get my newsletters and bookmarks out of where they are kept?

For one newsletter, open it, select all the text, copy it and paste it in. For a whole folder from Gmail, Google Takeout exports a label as one mailbox file. Every main browser can export bookmarks as one file. For saved social media posts, copy the text or links and paste them in.

Is it safe to open the unsubscribe links it lists?

The page says to open one only if you recognise the sender.

Did this check help you?

Tell UtilForge what worked and what did not. Each button opens an email to lindsay@utilforge.org that you write and send yourself. UtilForge will only quote your words on this site if you say it may, and then with your first name and country only.
